I recently heard many people around me question about the significance of American Studies for their life..
is it merely beneficial for those who study American Culture?
Of course not.
I have already questioned my mind over about the importance of American Studies in my life or in my culture’s development. After I’ve dig deeper, then, i find several facts that direct me to the significance of American studies.. not only for the marking points of American Students.
Here it is my opinion:
1. the interdisciplinary studies
American Studies, in my opinion, is the initial studies who introduces the use of interdisciplinary studies in its methodology. This is a colaborative method creating new perspectives to see an object study. Through this method, a case study can be seen and evaluated from many perspectives. Thus, the goal will be achieved in more accurately result.
